So my friend Diane goes crabbing all the time and I was curious, since I've never tried that before. She invited me to go along and set me up with a crab trap and bait. The night I went with her, we only caught small ones that had to be thrown back, but I got the jist of it.
This past Saturday, I woke up and decided to take a drive to the pier. On the way, I stopped and purchased a crab trap, so now I would have two to throw out.
What a relaxing day on the water!! When I caught my first crab, A Keeper!, I got soooo excited. Then another and another. What fun I was having. Other people on the pier would stop by and some give me advise, others ask questions that I didn't know the answer to, since I barely knew what I was doing anyway. It was just such a pleasant time.
When I got home that day, I had 9 crabs in my bucket. 8 that I caught and 1 that a fisherman caught on his rod and reel and gave me. The following video shows my catch of the day:
